UPDATE: We adopted Bree, she is staying here with us!! Castor, or as we lovingly call her, Bree, has been out of the puppy mill for 4 weeks now. She is being fostered in AZ by my husband and I for www.cairnrescue.com She was locked in a shed all of her life, whelping puppies, so she is quite frightened of the outdoors. She has the "deer in the headlights" look about her. Bree is such a sweet girl, if you can overlook her fears. It truly saddens me at how scared and shy she is, because of the mighty dollar. Bree is a testament as to why you should NOT purchase a puppy online or at a pet store. It is hard to resist those adorable faces, but the more we buy, rather than adopt, the more mill mommas and daddys will suffer. Don't shop, ADOPT!

  • Wow, she is lovely. How is she doing now?

  • Castor (kna Bree) is now a part of our Cairn family. We adopted her on my birthday in May. We decided she was already home and didn't need anymore upheavel in her life. She is still afraid of the outdoors, but we are seeing some glimmer of change. Inside the house, she is a fun-loving Cairn. She loves to sit on my lap, any chance she gets. I think she gets prettier and prettier, as she becomes healthier, after her days in the puppy mill. We are blessed to have her in our lives. Thanks!

  • She's lovely. Best of luck.

  • I just feel so bad that she is still so scared. But if anyone can help her overcome this it is you! Thank you so much for working with this little baby and for loving her so much!
