hi m8 im new to the sport and i absolutly can not wait to get my first rifle out of the shop it is a tikka t3 hunter 308 is this sufficiant to take down the big buggers like this one also i was curious if you would show a segment on how to score your trophies and also hanging and butchering so as we can learn to do it successfuly cheers m8 hope to see more of your vidioes soon happy trails.Regards Charles

Hi Thrasher, mate you wont go far wrong with the T3! there are a lot of good rifles out there but personally I would go the T3 hands down as the best out of the box rifle available! check out the vdhm web site and will look at doing a butchering video and scoring video too! caping would be good too!!! good hunting

Have you used or know anyone who has used woodleighs new bullets? Hydrostatic rounds?

No cant say I have! what calibre do you want to use them in and what for? deer? I usually go for something with a high ballistic coeficient and those look like they would be a low BC. Im trying the Nosler Accubonds now and not using the TTSX any more

Great stag, .300m Ok. 10 members in my crew of deer stalkers using .300m, 30 06 and .270 and taken sambar, rusa, chital and fallow. Always fun around camp when a good stag is taken about which weapon is best. Enjoy backpack hunting in Victoria's high country!!!

BTW Dennis awesome stag mate well done. Dont Worry about not being 30..ive seen a lot worse 30 inchers then that one mate. Grouse stag!

I cant say that i have found much better than my trusty .270 featherweight (old style) pushing 150 grn game kings. I have pulled off some longer shots - 450 longest on a running spiker and no drama's. Shooting sub moa and happy as. I am looking at 7mm rem mag to go back to my old love - long range. Would love to crack 1000m kill shot this year comming. Ill post some footage soon.
