Realization of simple 555 timer sound oscillation circuit which can be found on http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/gadgets/555/555.html as "CW practice oscillator". Its hooked up to 4,5 Vdc but it can work as low as 3V - 15V. 100Kohm potentiometer controls the pitch and 10Kohm the volume, though next time I will probably use linear instead of logaritmic, it does weird things to the speaker, as heard. Can be used like a morse code sound generator, though no one will.

  • good!!

    but the websyte disappeared

    can you show the diagram??

  • Oh... that is unfortunate. I did not rewrite it either. Does google still have the history of pages function? I am lazy to research it now... but you can try :)

  • in your comment says nobody would use that for morse code gen.

But my entire morse code rig "aside from the transmit port" is based off 555 IC

  • Then I have probably miscalculated...

  • schematic please !!! ? ???

  • Why does nobody read the description. Thats just sad...

  • Put the link in archive.org, you can get to the page there.

  • @CzDavid42 Page not found :(

  • That's an astable configuration, so, you change the value of the resistor and the time base changes, generating an audible frequency :) but it needs an audio amplifier D:

  • omg i got 2 of em speakers :P

  • nj to sou vynalezy.. Lokay by te pochvalil :-)
