In the past, the petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide has been circulated in the US, and some folks even got thier local city councils to ban it in their respective municipalites. Remember, folks.......these people are allowed to vote!

@e4enviro Credentials are the most common reason dissent is ignored. There is no consensus. Peer reviewed? there you go again, only your "acceptable" people are allowed.

@mrfrednoname Who attacked credentials? Science is never settled. Those believing in human induced climate change waited a long time before they recommended action for that very reason. Still, we ignore the consensus established theories at our peril. Policy makers and engineers have to rely on scientific theories. You rely on them every day. And as to alternate theories? I haven't seen them and I haven't seen peer reviewable models...

Hint, if someone tells you the science is settled and can't be challenged, they are not scientists. True scientists will always accept that all science can be challanged, or it becomes dogma and thats why the word was considered to be flat for centuries.
