bens style works very well against tarantino. plus, he has been so high on the points list for such a long time that when the things that he depends on arent working he isnt exactly sure what to do. so against someone like ben who has a very dangerous counterattack, he has very low confidence. just look at his body language

Ah, I noticed. He's the got the build for a counter attack artist. I could tell he was pissed at himself. Like Ben made him look kinda amateur-sh there. Guess it's all a style match-up. Luigi just looked to relaxed with his fencing. Normally, that's a good thing, but here his reaction time looked awfully slow and definitely not on the level of an Olympic fencer. He was just lost and he knew it.
