You may have already seen a trailer for the Fijian-made soon to be classic if not unwieldly named "Elf Bowling: The Movie - The Great North Pole Elf Strike", but this version plays up the massive popularity of the simplistic web game that it is based on. For a full minute.

It also includes the line, spoken by an actual human being, "Grab your balls...bowling balls that is!"

The trailer ends with the potentially horrifying news that "Elf Bowling 2: The Great Pumpkin Heist" will arrive in the fall of 2007...which it didn't

I do have to sadly admit that the animation looks a lot better than I expected and...Santa Claus used to be a pirate? Can't argue with that angle!

  • Wait...ticket buying audiences everywhere???

You telling me this thing made it to the theaters and it wasn't a straight to DVD release???

    WAT

  • Fire on the poop deck.

    Fire. On. The. Poop. Deck.

  • Just. Wow. Looks. So. Bloody. Awful. That. I Am. Too. Shell-shocked. To. Even. Type. Somebody - gasp - airplane sickness bag, bottle of scotch and a pack of Kleenex, please? I'll need that if you make me audition this!

  • I just lost faith in humanity.

  • ... I thought this was some kind of sick April Fool's joke. IT'S A REAL THING?

  • I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS A REAL THING

  • I've never even heard of this game.

  • They should've stuck to making bottled water!

  • Good God, this is even worse than the Super Mario Bros Movie

  • A tale of bold pirates, legendary heroes, cool babes, evil villains, romance, redemption, tender moments, musical numbers, labor strikes, spares, and more sctick than you can shake a stick at.

Is it just me, or do those things not belong in a movie titled "Elf Bowling: The Movie"

Seriously, who thought of this and said "What a brilliant idea!"
