I think her ability to inspire Adama was at the heart of the later seasons because together they were able to balance eachother out and continue onward but yeah they cut way too may good laura and laura/bill scenes.

I SO loved this series and Laura Roslin was by far my favorite character.

by the time I got to the end of the series I fast forwarded all Laura scenes! she just annoyed the crap out of me!

I hate that this part of the scene was cut, did Ron Moore want us to hate Roslin by the end of the series? This scene got back to her roots, the reason she made a good president. She definitely had more patience than I do, I would have slapped the reporter who asked that question.

Totally agree with you. It would've given a brief yet significant example of Laura's ability to inspire which at times was lacking as the seasons went on.
