Understanding text types by R.I.C. Publications

Following on from Introducing text types, this product further explores the structure and function of the six different forms of text. It does so in an instructional format easily manipulated and controlled by the teacher to maximise the quality and timing of instruction. The product allows teachers to select one text type and then to explore and identify the creation and use of that form of text using an actual example. The ability to move backwards and forwards through the instruction allows for specific instruction to individuals as well as large group explanations and learning. In addition to the instructional resource, blackline masters in the form of proformas and checklists are also provided to support the student's own work.
