Best interpretation of this Russian song is BY a Russian!

Wow. Valentina Lisitsa has competition on this piece. I didn't even think that was possible.

If we enjoy Rachmaninov’s music, if Gilels and Lugansky do play it well, there’s no matter to question their skills and their perfomances, there’s no matter to compare them, in my opinion.

@martinmccormack19 , i think, it's because Lugansky is "Koloss" in Russia, and famous in m u s i c a l world, but everytwo knows Gilels :)
if say for truth, this prelude i like in interpretation of Kisin, but, in somethings Lugansky is unreplayed, for example, in 2nd concert of Rachmaninov

one of the best interpretations that I´ve ever seen.. I can play this piece for over year, but I still cannot find such a vivid tone in my fingers, such as Lugansky... INCREDIBLE!!! :-)

TO MARTINMCCORMACK19---THANK YOU!

@Bret6464 :D
i don't understand why this interpretation of op 23 no 5 has 76,000 views but gilels has over one million. in my opinion lugansky's play is so much more brilliant.

@papcyrill @martinmccormack19 LOL you wishfully contemplate a rhetorical question. The performances of this prelude that should have over a million views are by Rach himself and Gilels. This one falls short :)
