Instead any point on the surface of the water moves in a circle the centre of which stays in the same place. How does the oyster device move backwards after asorbing the wave energy. It is seen that the wave is moving from left to right and hence the device is moving along also but then the device needs to move backwards to receive second round of waves. Is it done by secondary hydraulics which are always pushing the device toward the left much like the principles of vehicle hoods.
Excellent, in obstacle in the past may have been Americans not wanting these huge devices along our coastline. However, given the BP oil spill, these devices should be an attractive alternative.
