Me trying to speak in a British accent, more specifically Received Pronunciation (RP) or Queen's English.
Please comment. Do you have any problems understanding what I'm saying? Let me know how convincing I was. Is my accent passable?

  • try to flow more fluently. Your pausing between words which is your only fault

Other than tht, i'd like to hear you again sounds pretty good

  • @davidenespana :) Right. BUT 1. There is really no East European accent. There is a Slavic accent. 2. The speaker does not have an obvious trace of a Bulgarian / Slavic accent. He is easy to understand.

  • @Gwendolyn351 Apart from the very obvious East European accent, I'm glad you agree with me on all other points.

  • @davidenespana Obviously, you are not very familiar with EAST EUROPEAN accents. The guy does a really good job, he does not sound Slavic. Yes, the delivery is not perfect, however, he is easy to understand.

  • Very easy to understand. A job well done for someone from Bulgaria! The only thing I would say is TO PAUSE between the sentences, do not run them on as one does in the Slavic languages.

  • Wow, your English is good. To make your pronunciation more closer to RP, why don't you study and practise more on strong and weak forms (eg "for" and "and") and link-ups. These topics can be found in books on English phonetics, such as Daniel Jones' An Outline of English Phonetics, O'Connor's Better English Pronunciation, Colin Mortimer's Elements of Pronunciation, and Ann Baker's Ship or Sheep/Tree or Three.

  • Very easy to understand, the accent is obviously East European, not British. The pronunciation of a few words somewhat old fashioned/anachronistic - too 'posh' for modern received English. The phrasing, somewhat stilted/choppy. A more flowing delivery would be more attractive. If a delivery which is easy to comprehend is your aim - you've succeeded.

  • 0:36 - WHAT did she pick up?!! Gracious! :) :)

  • you can tell your foreign, but i understand 100% and its believable you could of lived in england
