Sure, maybe if it was a SegaCD/32x title.

@ZeldaDD It was 32x

@AssMaster0069, That wouldn't be a problem if ID made proper music ports. They didn't use the Yamaha synthesizer chip properly.
-
The reason 32x sounded so bad, because it imported the Genesis 16 bit sound chip!
-
I remember my 32x... Shadow squadron and Cosmic Carnage were my favorite games, besides Doom.
-
It probably could have... but just barely. It did have an extra main CPU, and we have seen other, Wolfenstein style FPSes on the Genesis [Zero Tolerance, that assy Duke3D port from Brazil] so it might have worked, but would look like shit.
Also, to OP:
This would be rather nice [Sega CD 32X anyone :D?], but even still, there is no way the 32X port should sound like ass. They could have actually tried to recreate the FM patches they used on the PC on the Genesis's far better FM chip.

sega cd couldn't handle doom. unless you mean they should make the cd more powerful in the first place.
-
Nice whammy in the music! This sounds like AWESOME 80's metal!

@badmangod Doom on the 32x is different then Doom on the PC, sice Doom for the 32x was based on the Jaguar port.
