Etta James had a hit with "Work With Me henry". In order to get pop airplay the lyrics were changed to dance with me Henry which Georgia Gibbs recorded. BOTH ladies had huge hits.
@xevcosmo Get your facts straight...Etta James recorded this song first and while she was on tour with Little Richard, Ms Gibbs stole the song and rerecorded it and renamed it to Wallflower...This happened a lot.
@xevcosmo No. It was written as an answer song to Hank Ballards "Work With Me Annie", writers were Etta James, Johnny Otis & Hank Ballard. Etta first went to top of R&b charts with it, then Gibbs did this sappy version that went to top of pop charts.
@DaveWollenberg According to Wikipedia, Fredda Gibson (nee' Lipschitz) got the Her Nibs nickname from Garry Moore, on whose radio show she got her first big break, as the girl singer.
Jajajaja gracioso el comienso de este video,Dance with me henry will you dance with me henry?

This would be like the Bee Gees singing an Otis Redding song or the Backstreet Boys singing a Black Sabbath song.

@luvureally Ironically, we lost Etta James and Johnny Otis on the same day.

Born Fredda Gibson. Not sure who dubbed her, 'Her Nibs, Miss Gibbs.'
