Entering the cage of the Giant Killer Emu, I neglected to remember that I had a bag of Giant Killer Emu food in my hand.

Thank you for the advice. However, the word "attack" was used more as a joke. The emu was after the bag of food I was holding in the same hand as my camera.

Every clip I see of you guys in the USA etc with the Australian Emu makes me crack up ha ha.

Here in Aus they are murdered, some call them vermin which is unjustified as the Emu, Kangaroo etc are all in their own outback areas. Good to see some in Zoo's over your way, good for education to the wildlife on this planet.

@hanhan995 They're not "evil", they are very curious and will peck any spot that stands out. They're also very dumb. If their food is on the other side of a open-ended three foot section of fence, they might starve to death before they find it! Most are harmless, except during mating season, when they fight (and you could be in the middle). I remember one particular female, #171, that I dubbed "The Ballistic Bitch from Hell". She was the only one I couldn't handle. Destroyed 6' chainlink fences.
