where was the LDS church in 500 ad, 1200 ad, or 1700 ad. it did not exist. its teachings did not develop untill joseph smith was born. you might want to do a study on the early new testament church previous to 1700 that was NOT written by the LDS leaders!

Christs apostles are dead, have been for almost 2000 years! there is no one alive today that has a visible account of the Lord Jesus Christ. "faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God" "He that cometh to God must BELIEVE that He is " there are no apostles today. The Holy Spirit draws us to Christ through the written Word of God which testifies of HIMSELF. How many times is the book of mormon mentioned in the Word of God.

The divine nature of Apostles to the Lord, Jesus Christ is that they are special witnesses of him. The same was offered to the 12 shortly after Christ's resurrection and continues to be the premise behind that holy calling. He hung around for 40 days after his death to do more than just play Peekaboo with the 12 and set up his church... and this is hard enough for "non-members" of faith to actually believe. If those 12 who lived before didn't see Christ, how would we have faith in him now?

The burden of proof lays with the Lord.

that would be correct if I were quoting them, but I have quoted Gods Word. I do not speak of my self I simply state what the Lord Jesus Christ said in his word. it is quite clear that you are under the conviction of the Spirit of God or you would not be responding to me in this manner. all you have done is say that the LDS church is the true church with out PROVING IT in the light of Gods word, that is the TRUE test. the truth according to the LDS, is just what it states.
