@applesweeter They portray the airlines as having well engineered planes, friendly cabin crew, etc etc. In SIA's case, these are true.

@neoprint105 also around that time, I was born lol. I'll be 18 this year. SIA's advertising focus hasn't changed a bit since December 1992 (or the 1980s for that matter), and that has given them good brand recognition (:
PS - Happy birthday Singapore Airlines! I'm going to fly on SIA one of these days!

I can answer 1 and 2
1 - Because it gets us to our destination quickly and efficiently. Nashville, Tennessee to New York, for example, is 2 hours flying, 12 hours driving.
2 - The commercials are designed to portray flying and airlines in a positive light. Singapore Airlines commercials do this the best in my opinion.

why should SIA change its famous SIA jingle? Like the SQ girl, this jingle can be easily recognize as a SQ brand. Thats why SIA is so successful because over the many years, their brand remained the same.
