Hands up -I was wrong. Please don't shoot me. In hindsight I was totally unfair to ask for help in my criminal activiites. I just wanted to enjoy the music but couldn't afford to pay for a ticket. Karma had her way anyway and made sure I didn't share in the festival with all the guys who were there working hard to make it a sucess. Well done for your efforts.
This festival was put on by many crews who mostly put on events that cost nothing. Not just losing a few hundred quid, but often 10's of thousands of pounds.
It was one of the best festivals of the year IMO, and of all festivals to attempt break into this aint the one, so please show some respect next year and pay.
OK I have to admit I read the sequence of messages wrong and apologize. In my only defense I had just got back from india (far sooner than anticipated) and had not slept properly for 4 days waiting at airports. And lack of sleeps gets me a bit cranky and quick to fire off.
Quite how his/her comments go unpunished yet mine are interpreted as criminal are beyond me. A misunderstanding It is and these things happen when reading a passage out of context. I can only say please don't think ill of me It's not nice to have have ones name besmirched (as you well know) and keep up the good work. I hope you can still can find it in you to do what you obviously love/loved doing. Your efforts are appreciated by most of us. Peace.
Sunrise, Glade etc. All of which I happily pay for to support the cause so that one of the things I love in the whole world can continue in these difficult times.
I was responding to gypsypoppy's comment, which if you look at it asks how they might be able to get into Waveform for free. I kicked off at them with my comments because of the very reasons you feel aggrieved. I.e. all the hard work you put in only for people to try and blag their way into the festival.
Can you please explain why you have a problem with my comment? At what point in my passage of text do you become offended or find cause to think I am having a pop at your efforts and hard work?
The people I was having a pop at were those that were asking to get into the Waveform Festival for free! I was a paying customer at the event and am a regular at quite a few festivals over the course of every year.
Actually mate the more I think about the hard work and tickets we sold with ZERO in return, the more your comment gets on my fucking tits.
MANY people worked hard to make this happen from all stages, artists, and followings. And I know our following were far more happy to part with cash for this event because of it's free party feel, and out of respect for our hard work for nearly 20 years without a penny in return for our troubles. Now take your comment and shove it up your fucking ass marc
We are not attending this year.
