Moonshine stills remnants are very common in Franklin County Virginia. Franklin County has a long history of Moonshiners and there are many folks living in the county today that were involved or had friends in the business of making and selling illegal alcohol. They are most interesting to talk to and hear the stories of some of their activities. We have heard lots of interesting things and always fun to hear more. The LCF Group has owned properties in Franklin County for years and most of then have old still locations on them. Most of them have many old still parts and some are in good condition. The 5 acre property in this video is for sale with owner financing. It is just great on a nice warm sunny day to take a stroll in the woods and observer the streams, animals and artifacts. The Blue Ridge Parkway is the common boarder between Floyd and Franklin County. The old still parts will remain on this property however we just sold this and several joining parcels so LCF Group will no longer own the pieces of this old ghost of a moonshine still. Dave

We are in the Appalachian Music community of Floyd Virginia - I am also making a small museum display of some of my computers available to the public in the Village Green. We are on the "Blue Ridge Parkway" & " The Crooked Road - Virginia's Heritage Music Trail" . A lot of good things here - drop in and see us sometime.
