this is left wing b.s - ango saxons = white, vikings = white, normans = white, post anglo norman settlers = white = ancient irish = white celts = white, until 1948 britain was 100% genetically white, it is built up on white europeans, we are definatly not mongrels. How do you think modern day britain started off white?.

There's a number of problems with the historical introduction. One error is that the Celts used metals like gold as trading currency so they weren't without currency.

This program is utter bullshit. The vast majority of English culture originates from either Anglo-Saxon or closely related Germanic sources.
As an Englishman i am insulted by being called a 'mongrel' by the likes of a funnyman like Eddie Izzard, but i'm not surprised.
I seem to be having deja vu.
Rant: over.

PC, BS.
DNA say's if your grandfather was born in England you have a 75% chance of being descended from hunter-Gatherers who came here just after the last ice-age, this is a few thousand years before "celts" had left Asia.
