Sperm Whale Greeting

This is a juvenile sperm whale named Scar who is sometimes sighted off the coast of Dominica. He is about 11 years old and has been interested in people since he was a calf. This was the third time I had been in the water with him, and he seems very enthusiastic to see me! This was shot with a Canon 7D in an Aquatica housing with a Tokina 10-17 lens.

reading the description it looks like OP has swam with this whale before along with stating hes friendly towards people. dont get me wrong, something that big and in the water I'd still shit bricks. amazing encounter though, and regardless of how scared you are it would be amazing in the end.

He stayed for about half an hour playing with us. This was the third time we ran into him (or, in this case, he ran into me!) in two days. Each time he stayed and played.
