Free E-Z Pass trips and free toll rides have been reinstated for employees of the Delaware River Port Authority. The perks had been eliminated as part of a package of reforms demanded by Governor Christie. Today, the board of commissioners voted to continue 100 free E-Z pass trips per year for certain employees for the remainder of their contract. Commissioners claim the perks were collectively bargained and must continue until the agreement expires. And free trips for all employees over the four bridges operated by the DRPA have now also been reinstated. They were taken away after a media outcry. Today's action reverses earlier reforms.
