  • wow im fucking pissed off just wow seeing one of my favorite bands being covered by these over-played fuckers? give me a break, this is ridiculous how could you even bring yourself to say gorilla biscuits suck you hot-topic shopping fuck face? fall out boy was never in the scene and cant understand or even fucking grasp what this song meant back then, fuck all you emo kids, hardcore lives on

  • Who the fuck said that Gorilla Biscuits suck? You need to chill, man. You're being ridiculous. Your acting just as badly as you think these 'emo, hot-topic fuckfaces' do. How do you expect ANYONE to listen to ANYTHING you have to say when you're acting like this? I can only laugh at you, to be honest. Such a lame response. And btw, you obviously don't know a thing about Fall Out Boy. They may be overplayed NOW, but they didn't start out that way.

  • yes, laughing at me actually effects this argument, i could care less if you read my response or not, you still suck for posting this, fall out boy is still a terrible band, and theres nothing you could do to change that. sorry, and i expect people to listen to music that doesn't suck. example : not fall out boy

  • I suck for posting this? Whatever, man. It's not like you or your opinion matter to me, anyway.

  • ...how can you kids even compare fall out boy w/ G.B?!

GB > FOB by fucking far.

What a fucking joke for them to even try and cover this song

  • *le sigh* You love Gorilla Biscuit. I love Fall Out Boy. I quite like GB too, surprise, surprise. Noone compared the bands, I just compared the execution of the song. I prefer live-versions of songs, so I pick FOB's version over the original. I have never heard or seen GB live. No reason to get your knickers in a twist.

  • good point man, but you gotta realize how this makes people that liisten to GB feel, its like mainstream faggots are taking a shit all over our scene and that suckks

  • FOB = A bunch of guys who actually write their own songs. Plus the fact that it's not Fall Out Boysssss, but Fall Out Boy, they're not a boy band, young padawan.

  • Dude! This is back when they were cool! Bad Ass!!!

  • They fucking suck. Thumbs down or thumbs up.

  • Sometimes it feels like people judge for the sake of judging. I know why I listen to music. I don't do it for anyone but myself, which is what I feel people should do.

Emo is just a derogatory name that a lot of people use to discredit a genre. It has happened all throughout history. It's easier to not take something seriously that way.

The guys in FOB all came from the hardcore scene. I think covers like this one is just their way of showing respect to their own musical influences.

  • The Emo thing keeps getting to me. Because as a label for music, it's sort of redundant, right? Because... Emotional? Any music that worth listening to is emotional in one way or another. And then you have people who use it as a label for a lifestyle. Punk has the same issue, like you said.

So I am an FOB fan. I have been since... The beginning. I have seen the 'evolutio' of fns, if you will. And there are people attracted to the drama, and there are ones who are there because of the music.

  • Well, I was at the show when this song was played by FOB and the reason they did it is because they're fans of Gorilla Biscuits.

I feel that if people go to shows like it's a pretend fashion show I am going to do my best to not pay attention to them. Because... The negativity is what people focus on, right? There are always going to be people who see the actual point and and there is always going to be people who just jump on the bandwagon.

  • yea FOB did a better job on the harmoica

  • point taken.the animosity stems from the generation gap. its a clash of styles but rather pointless argument. the young always think the'r musics better than the old even when i was young but it like arguing about what color is better red or blue.most most fans who attend shows are just there to out on a fashion show anyway even in the punk days but there were true punks who believed in cause but WTF cause does emo stand for besides the fashion show? a total state of pretended despair?

  • I am not going to comment on whether or not the majority of their fans are preteen, because really? It's not like either of us know for sure. As far as them doing covers like this one? As far as I know they are not the only band in the world who has done covers. I doubt doing the occasional cover means being incapable of writing own material. I am quite sure that bands you listen to... At least one of them will have done a cover or two.

  • the majority of their fans are preteen but "they're not a boy band" and "they write their own songs" so thats why they covered/butchered this one?
