Grace Hill Neighborhood Health Centers (GHNHC) the March of Dimes and Saint Louis University hosted a celebration with mothers who recently participated in the first CenteringPregnancy® program in St. Louis and the healthy births of their babies.

Saint Louis University received a three-year, $206,000 grant from the March of Dimes to develop and support CenteringPregnancy® programs in St. Louis. The program at Grace Hill is the first of these evaluation sites.

The CenteringPregnancy® group model of care, developed by the Centering Healthcare Institute, replaces the traditional one-on-one obstetric appointments with group appointments that include eight to 10 women. It is designed to provide patients with more time with their doctor, as well as additional support from other women who are at similar stages of their pregnancies.
