@xlioilx is that a joke question?? there is no reverse.. in neutral you can move the bike freely forward and backward no throttle but with your legs

taking too long to shift gears will cause wear and clunky changes. if you apply light pressure to the gear lever beforehand, as you pull the clutch in you increase the pressure on the lever (not even always necessary) the gear will immediately switch and you should have a seamless shift
