well done on this, i have an idea for the same kind of thing as im an engineer. i will be looking in to this, but there are legalities with the speed it can do, as im aware. but i think there is to much regulation on these things as we the public are fighting the rapid economical decline, while the law and a safety officials are creaming us for all that is taxible to better pay themselves. they go faster, and they make us go slower. nothings free and every economical offset costs us more in end

down the road maybe, im looking to build a 1500watt off road using a downhill bike frame but the old funds are short at the moment and i left my life po 4 in the garage all winter and it wont charge now looks like a couple or more cells got damaged, im looking around for a new one (not cheap!)

I love this bike. I was wondering whether you could attach a dynamo to the front wheel, wire it back to the battery as a trickle charger/recharger. Lol or am i dreaming

chargers have a relay built in, that the battery makes the connection. when the battery is so low the charger can only suggest the power is lower than stated for the inbound charge rate. hense the dreaded red light. now, simply apply with another source the required voltage outside the charge pack and the relay in the charger with connect and the intelligent circuit will do the rest with the ballancing. i work in electronics and understand chargers very well. same with drill chargers. job done
