Tribute to Alexa Havins

This is my homage to the beautiful and talented Alexa Havins, who was the original actress to portray Babe Carey Chandler on All My Children. She molded the character into a sweet, lovable, adorable and often quirky person that we came to know and love. While the new actress would be fine in another role, she just isn't right for the character, in my opinion, as she comes off too serious, hard and bitchy. I would rather they have taken the character off the show completely than replace her with someone who did not embody the true essence of Babe. Alexa, I wish you the best in your career endeavor - I hope you find so much success in the industry; I know you deserve it and have the looks, talent and drive to get you there. I will always miss you as Babe, but I support you chasing your dreams and I hope you find everything you are hoping for and more.

Alexa moved with her husband Justin (ex-Jamie) to LA to broaden their acting careers. She's got a small part as a bride in "27 Dresses", and she'll be in the movie "Old Dogs" which will be out in 2009.

I loved seeing this! I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad Alexa got away from AMC. The show sucks, the Soap Central fan site has veiwers calling for Babe to die, and being really descriptive. I feel bad for nuBabe, but I'm really happy not to be reading that crap about Alexa. She's just an amazing actress and a beautiful person and woman.

omg thank u for this! i completely agree with everything u said in the description. they never should have replaced her. i haven't watched the show once since they did that. and i had never missed an episode for the past 10 yrs prior to that! she was the best character, i fell in love with babe. i cried when she delivered b's baby then had hers only to have it taken from her. i was infatuated with babe/jr/jamie love triangle. the dynamic of babe/krystal. there will never be another babe to me.
