  • I can see the benefits for germany, the urgency it creates in investing into renewables, the competitive edge and new jobs because of it, but what i have a problem with is that nuclear reactors aren't cheap, it's like throwing money out of the window. When you already have the reactors why not take the maximum out of them. It seems like wasting money.

  • @Uhmu45 not quite like i read for the reaktor kruemmel in the north many of the reaktors are in terrible shape and need quite a bit of work or are even way over there original planned runningtime which for a reaktor is only 25 to 30 years. And the vote is now final and has been passed

  • @FratisNox

If the maximum has already squeezed out of the reactors, then its fine.

  • @Uhmu45 even with the ones that have without the final storage for the spent fuel rods nuclear power is worse then any other fossil fuel

  • @FratisNox

    How so?

  • @Uhmu45 well its rarer and we can`t get rid of what stays over when we have used the fuel rods

  • Very good.

  • @FratisNox

I would say it's likely that we will find use for them in the next 100-200 years. It is possible to get energy out of them, we don't have the technology just yet. Well not in our lifetime anyway, thats true.

  • @fuerve not that well versed in green energie so i can`t really say

  • @FratisNox Did anybody ever get anywhere with geothermal energy?
