An incredulous former counter-terrorism Czar Richard Clarke, who resigned from the Bush Administration before the invasion of Iraq, tells a reporter how he can't believe President Bush is running for reelection on his record of fighting terrorism.

  • Nice liberal personal attack on someone you disagree with - all too typical.

Clinton's people treated it like a law enforcement issue. Those who were arrested repeatedly said they would be back to finish the job, and Clinton ignored it until it became helpful to bomb an aspirin factory to deflect from Lewinsky. 90% of the 9/11 planning was on Clinton's watch.

The Bush administration clearly dropped the ball in places also, but the 9/11 commission report squarely placed the fault on both teams.

  • @MichaelKeating2001 I never attacked you. My criticism of Bush is no more "personal" than your criticism of Clinton.

I love it when people who were either children (or not even born yet) try to tell me what Clinton did or did not do. You stupidly claimed Clinton "did NOTHING to stop another attack" after 1993. Please remind me the next time America was attacked after '93. If Clinton "did nothing", then he must have been incredibly lucky.

  • You guys bashing Bush are hilarious.

Who was President on Feb 26, 1993 when AQ first attacked the WTC? What was done after that to stop future attacks? Nothing. Having Bin Laden handed to him on a silver platter, Bill Clinton decided he should not take him out. Clinton ignored AQ for seven years, Bush ignored them for seven months.

  • @MichaelKeating2001 Off the top of my head, he didn't sit motionless in a classroom for seven minutes and he didn't blame HW Bush for failing to prevent an attack that took place when Clinton had only been in office for less than a month.

You were probably still in Kindergarten, so here's a refresher: Clinton GOT the guy (Abdel-Rahman, "The Blind Sheik"), PUT HIM ON TRIAL *IN* NYC, threw his butt in prison, and prevented another attack on the U.S. on his watch til Bush dropped the ball on 9/11.

  • Hey, custerdivision, who had control of Congress for seven of those eight years? The Republicans did, and they fought and sabotaged just about every one of Clinton's anti-terror efforts. Than right after 9/11 they try to revise history to make it look like Clinton was the one to blame.

The Republicans were the ones who were more concerned about Clinton's blowjob than terrorism.

  • When the Aug.6th 2001 PDB (Presidential Daily Briefing) titled: "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." was presented to Bush. George told the CIA briefer: "All right. You've covered your ass now." (and then Bush went on vacation for a month)

  • Condi Rice had CIA briefings about the al Qaeda threat 5/30 and 7/10/01. Cofer Black said "We did everything but pull the trigger to the gun we were holding to her head." For info on Condi's testimony to the 9/11 Commission, see my video "Condi Lied Under Oath to the 9/11 Widows"
