I'm a full out christian, I do believe homosexuality is a sin but I believe god loves those who are gay and died for those who hate gay people. I am no better than the Muslims, i'm not higher than the faking Christians. To the atheist, gays, and others who do not believe the way I do you are loved by me. God sees us as equals whether you hate him or don't believe he thought of you when he died. Reese the writer of this song did not want people to see the song as great but see others as jesus.

Such a powerful song - both the lyrics and the music affect the emotions so strongly.
This band doesn't sugarcoat its message.

Amen!! It is poetry and amazing! It is eye opening, and has said what most of us miss to see. Well what I miss to see. I may be a high schooler, but I know what I want to do. I pray every night that God will use me to help others and not myself. To help people every where, and I pray that He send me out there in Africa or South America. Thank you God! :)

Amen! Well said! Really...I think we need more of this part of the Christian message emphasized and perhaps less of the other "distractions" that Christians get caught up in. God Bless those really living the life..out there in deplorable conditions all over the world..truly helping the needy while so many of us take for granted the luxury of a warm bed and a hot meal every day.

Now that the trilogy is finnished. What is reese up to these days? Does he have some sort of blog?

Homosexuality is considered a sin in the bible. So, if you actually listen to the way he uses the words, he says that no matter how horrible your sin is God will forgive you. He doesn't HATE gay people. He does not hate any one, no matter what you've done. So long as you repent, and do your best to follow his word.

No worries, mate. And, hey, your English sounds just fine.

Ok thank you.
But i would like you to know that i didn't mean anything bad. I just didn't understand this phrase...is that so bad???
I am not from an English-speaking country.
Thanx a lot for your reply my friend :-)

It wasn't about excusing homosexuality (because scripture is perfectly clear about that being a sin- a sin that destroys people, destroys their relationship with God, and thus destroys them) but Jesus and His disciples are all emphatically clear that you are to love your neighbor as yourself and to always be willing to give any human being aide, and that doesn't stop at any sin, or any disease you may rightly or wrongly judge to be the result of sin. Care for them like you would care for Jesus.
