READ ME FIRST: This is some retro-footage from a 1992 science fiction convention, where the guest speak was Jonathan Harris. While Mr. Harris has a very long list of projects, both on stage and in film, many remember him best from the 1960's Irwin Allen television series, "Lost in Space", which was a personal favorite of mine!
So, enjoy some great anecdotes from Jonathan, where he touches on his career, some interesting hollywood-related stories, and, of course, the development of the character, "Dr. Smith."

I met Mister Jonathan Harris at a convention in Atlanta, Georgia in 1987. I enjoyed a glass of wine with him. He was a most gracious and distinguished gentleman.
What a guy!

@rushkagon Jonathan Harris was born Jonathan Charasuschin in New York City of Russian/Jewish immigrants. He learned to speak with the British style accent (he said it was more of a Polish accent) while watching movies because he had a thick New York accent and said "Dese" and "Dose" instead of "These" and "Those". He is a great actor who is missed. I bet the day he came to the Pearly Gates, Jonathan probably said to St. Peter, "NEVER FEAR, SMITH IS HERE".

@richardwha Hi Rich - it was because I was an early YouTuber who was invited into their 'partner program' -- I think those who are made a 'partner' get the time limit removed. Wow, I wish I had a monopod -- I know the camera shake sucks; I still don't believe I held up the camera that long -- it was difficult! Glad you enjoyed the footage.
