The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. Every week we field live calls from atheists and believers alike, and you never know what you're going to get! Sometimes it can get quite feisty indeed! You don't want to miss it.

24 November, 2008
Topic: Religion Inspired Child Abuse. Jen explores the implications of teaching children they're inherently evil.

  • What happened to the other host?

  • Which host?

  • The other bald guy... Matt... The one that was studying to be a priest, before becoming and atheist...

  • They have host rotations. Matt isn't on each week.

  • We worshiped the sun, because it gives life.

We could 'worship' science too, because it has the potential to give better life.

  • Does studying science cn be considered worshipping it?

  • What is this song in the intro? I just love it!

  • If children are not indoctrinated the chance of them becoming religious adults is almost nothing. Religion is completely unatural in that sense.

  • Mike Patton would disagree with you....

  • It's quite common for people to try to explain things they don't understand in terms of things they do understand. And sometimes this works, though often we push it too far. We understand certain things about human beings - human beings as makers of things, as beings with emotions and drives and purposes, as beings organized into hierarchical social groups with leaders -- and so we tend to try to explain aspects of the universe -- or the universe itself, in terms of those human qualities.

  • "Judith" by A Perfect Circle would be absolutely perfect

  • that's actually the dumbest thing i've heard about anything, ever...

  • Your excess of Stupidity reveals your abundance of Ignorance!

  • This is the most idiotic comment I've read on YouTube, and I've read a LOT of comments...
