In New York State it is fairly easy to qualify for Medicaid home care benefits. For someone who has assets in excess of the Medicaid eligibility standard, we can take those excess assets and transfer them to a protective trust. That way these assets will be protected and available for the care of the senior or disabled person. If someone has excess income, we can transfer that excess income, the income that is above the Medicaid eligibility limit, and put into a pooled income trust. The person will have those funds available for his or her needs and at the same time qualify for Medicaid home care benefits. Go to http://www.lamson-cutner.com for additional information.
