All the tentative IDs I put in this video are wrong. I've learned quite a bit since posting this video. :-)

Wild mushrooms growing in Mount Nemo park in Burlington, Ontario. None of the mushrooms in this video have been identified. I've made a guess at the species shown. It goes without saying that no mushrooms should be eaten from the wild unless you are an expert mycologist. The Destroying Angel, for example, is deadly poisonous.

  • Those first aren't honey mushrooms, honeys dont have slimy caps, and the gills are attached to the stalk, whereas these appear separate. I dont know what those are, but not honeys. The second also aren't chickens I dont think, but I could be wrong, they are far decayed to tell what they are. The 1st "unknown" might be alcohol inky caps, but its hard to tell from a video. The "young destroying angel" are actually edible pear shaped puffballs-though those are past the eating stage. hope that helps
