Uniq - Gutted (Early Mike Skinner Beat / New Unreleased The Streets)

Bit of a story behind this....

Going back 9 or 10 yrs, Mike Skinner (the streets) and Sean Kelly (Uniq) used to be boys and used to sit in Mikes flat in his home made studio mixing down tracks. Mike would do all the beats on Fruity Loops and Sean would do that style of brummy talk/rap that they do over the top.

Want a bit of proof? In "The Streets - Has It Come To This" Mike says a few things... "I step out my yard through the streets
In the dead heat
All i got's my spirit and my beats
I play fair don't cheat
And keep the gangsters sweet
Turn the page
Don't rip it out at your rage
Move to the next stage
Lock the rage inside the cage
Like SK, it's a new day

Anyways, it's a top track and I just happened to find it on an old mixtape cd I had from when I was living in Brum and it gave me a buzz so I'm sure it will others. Massive respect to Mike too, love all you're stuff.

I remember SK and Skinner from back in the day, if I remember right Sean gave him most of his rhymes. Them days hitting tracks on the PC with Golden child bring back some memeories!

2010 is all about Redbeard and his crew with EatGoodRecords.......make it happen and knock Skinner down with some real beats!
