How does a tribute honoring Canadian troops lead to foolish bickering? Where is your respect for fellow Allies? They all fought and some died to give you the liberty to make ugly comments, but do you really have to take advantage of said liberty?
I, an American, thank the Canadian troops for their service and sacrifice.

I am a Canadian and proud to say that we were the greatest threat to Nazi Germany apart from Great Britain.

Very poignant. Thank you.

@shocker30 I'm aware of this, I live there. We also have our own book of remembrance in the Ottawa Peace Tower, the only province to have such. But the Newfoundlanders also sent the 59 Heavy Royal Newfoundland Regiment along with the Canadians to Juno as support for after the invasion, as far as I am aware. So I'm not sure if you would count the newfoundlanders with the Canadians afterwards since we are [Somewhat Regrettably?] now a Canadian Province.

They did not become a Canadian province until 1949. They were a Dominion within the British Empire before this.
