Doctor Who Classic Series (Season 1, Episode 3/1)

The Edge of Destruction (also referred to as Inside the Spaceship) is a serial in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, which was first broadcast in two weekly parts on February 8 and February 15, 1964. The serial is distinguished as a rare "bottle episode", in that the entire story is shot on a single set, with just the main cast. It also serves to resolve several character threads that had been presented over the previous eleven weeks.

  • I love this series so far... But Susan's constant screaming is really starting to get on my nerves -_-

  • 8:15 Ian cops a feel.

Don't worry, Susan's actress was in her twenties.

  • its like the acient version of midnight

  • @Leuopold The wibbley lever indeed! Fantastic! haha

  • @actressmusic Terrific!, I was just going to say imagine Italy, or a shoe. No wait, forget Italy. Just use the wibbley lever.

  • @Leuopold Thanks! That makes sense. (You know you've seen too much Doctor Who when an answer like that makes sense... Oh well. I love the show too much to stop! haha)

  • Best Hartnell episode ever.

  • @actressmusic The time vortex manipulator created a resonance feedback loop in the fabric of space time, directly interfering with the synapses of the mind, much like the anthropoids on Traxton 5.

  • Maybe I just missed something, but was anybody else waiting for some more explanation other than "the button was stuck?" Why did Ian try to choke the Doctor? Why was Susan going crazy with the scissors? I was expecting an alien to have been possessing them or something...

  • Is it just me or does this remind anyone else of the original Star Trek episode Naked Time?
