This is really just a small rant as to why I think Circuit City went out of biz. Working there for nearly two years, I've seen so much change in the company, most of it for the worst. But this is all just my opinion really, I could be wrong.

If the video gets boring, just skip to 4:08 to see a stripper.

Final Fantasy X OST - Thunder Plains

  • wow soo fucking gay

  • @zabadaba8 k.

  • Go on their website it's still up! copyrighted 2009!? WTF!?

  • Circuit City online was purchased by some company that also operates TigerDirect. It's not the same.

  • I worked at CC back in 1995 for 1 year before giving my resignation letter. I didn't like their philosophy of numbers versus quality. Anyways, making a move to Best Buy is not going to be any better for you. My advise is get out of Retail and do your own thing if you've got the knowledge. The Geek Squad is a joke and working for them would not get you any respect. Personally I thinkg BB sucks and hopefully they go chapter 11 too...

  • Believe me man, I understand you completely. Working retail, you sometimes you have to give up your integrity and morals to get things done. It's something that bothered me when I first started, but I think nothing of it now. I heard the stupidest crap from customers about the Geek Squad. But I really have no choice right now, I'm a broke college kid trying to make a quick buck. Just conform to policy and get the job done. I'll resign from Best Buy and the Geek Squad whenever I see fit.

  • @klimber1000 Seeing how I've been with Best Buy for over 2.5 years after this video was made, I'm not worried. My opinion about Circuit City has nothing to do with my employment with Best Buy. In this video, I am doing nothing that would hurt Best Buy as a company. They cannot fire me over unreasonable speculation.

Thanks for reminding me that this video still exists though. My hair back then... ugh.

  • @EnticingJay yea i know the feeling, i worked for the home depot ugh

  • I think the worse thing they did was fire a lot of the older higher paid workers. then they replace them with people who don't know anything. companies don't want to hire us older workers. I was in Radio Shack one time and was just amazed at how stupid this guy was about electronics. Maybe they know how to sell the phones and other stuff but you walk in and ask for a resistor well what's that?

  • I worked at CC Corp for 12 years and have to say I agree with the "rant" 100% as do 98% of the people that sat in the room with Phil Schoonover day in and day out. -

Although I can not completely say Phil caused us to go out of business (we were going down hill for years starting with Alan McCollough) - Phill made matters worse and put the nail in the coffin.

I was part of a documentary on CC and your feelings are the same expressed in this there - it just went to the VA Film Festiva
