MAN RAY: PARIS - - L.A.

Toward the end of our previous century, Track 16 Gallery's Tom Patchett and Robert Berman Gallery's Robert Berman joined forces to present this now-legendary exhibition featuring hundreds of works by the great MAN RAY, running from August 1996 to January 1997.

A raucous mob jam-packed Bergamot Station on the occasion of the show's opening night. Packed along with the jam was videographer Steve Cioffi, invited by Tom and Robert to soak up the festivities on tape for future reference. Seeing as how that future has arrived, we invite you now to reference THIS.

Over a dozen years after the fact, MAN RAY: PARIS -- L.A. remains an oft-cited benchmark; the one to beat for any gallery mounting a major artist retrospective in Los Angeles.
