This song is a rare gem. Yes Mirza ji, I agree with you that Suraiya has a beautiful, sweet voice. Apparently, I was also born in 1949. I hail from Guyana and now living in the USA serving as a teacher in New Jersey.

The addition of music certainly enhances the the melody but this woman does not need orchestra. The orchestra is in her vocal chords. What a gift from God. There will be no other Surriaya. Hopefully God is enjoying listening to you. I am jealous of you God! You have all these beauties, Madhu, Shyama, Nanda, Rekha etc and all these singers with magic in their voices, Surriaya, Rafi, NoorJehan, Geeta, Soluchna, Lata, Asha Shamshad etc.

What a talent Suraiyya was! Till today, no singer-actress has emerged who has even a fraction of her star power. She did play-back singing, sang for herself and acted in 35 movies! Incredible.
