The tenor is John Alexander. If this is the Met on tour in Tokyo, it was the first performance ever by the company in Japan. The poor Japanese were misled to think all of the Met prima donnas coming their way would be of the caliber of this golden throat.

Poor tenor, his make-up makes him look like a bit of a clown, and he's sort of at that age where interpreting that role in a romantic way is kinda redundant. Meh, Sutherland is excellent.
