''Besides being one of the UK's most underrated songwriters, Paul Carrack is also a gifted one-man-band in the mould of McCartney and Todd Rundgren'' - The Independent

To coincide with his dates at Ronnie Scotts Paul Carrack releases No Doubt About It, the fourth single from his fourteenth solo album I Know That Name. With a sound that leans towards the Chicago soulstyle of Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler the song reaffirms Pauls position as a remarkable vocalist, musician and songwriter.

Soul is me, thats where I come from. I think the new album is as good as anything Ive done. I would go as far as to say its the best album Ive made.

With a career that spans almost 40 years, that is no small statement. Having played most of the instruments on the album and written all but one of the songs there is no doubt that Pauls musicianship is extraordinary. But it is his voice one of the most recognisable in the world - that lifts the record from being a technical showcase to one that is honest, warm and welcoming with its impeccable, seemingly effortless, delivery.

After an extensive four month tour of Britain Paul will be performing for three nights at Londons Ronnie Scotts I am really looking forward to playing at Ronnies. It's a great intimate atmosphere and steep in music tradition. Pauls special guest will be his friend and some-time collaborator Chris Difford.

Ive worked hard to establish myself as a solo performer, building up a good reputation by word of mouth and doing many live shows every year, he says. As long as I have the opportunity to play live with my band and make my albums I will be happy.

Paul Carrack has presided over some of the finest moments in modern rock music. Record Collector

I search online but there are no any lyrics of this song.

    Thank you

  • This song is an amazing song and is sooo addictive!!!

  • I decided I wanted my concert days back after a long gap, I saw an advertisment for PC driving from Rotherham to Bradford in Brighouse going to visit mum, good guy.

I told my bro I was interested in going to see PC. He had been to a gig few months earlier and he let me check out "I know that name". I checked out a few You tube tracks of Paul and was inspired to go to see him. Since then 3 of us have been to 3 gigs, and we have purchased 3 DVD`s and a CD so I fail to see that youtube is bad

  • @Leave28

Paul Carrack is not a genre he has evolved over the years to to brilliant showman he is today, i was at a PC concert last night in Chesterfield.

His wrote the hit song "How Long" for his first band ACE, He wrote Another cup of coffee for Squeeze and with a couple of his mate he wrote love will keep us alive for the eagles and I dont want to hear anymore for the eagles all by him self.

Enjoy the Mans Music do not worry about anything else

  • @revanspalace I'm going to see Paul next week and looking forward to it!!! Can you remember roughly what his set list was please?

  • Great !!! He is so Singular !! Love it !

    Pat

  • @keysersozeh -------I think he does care and every artist always wants a billboard top song

But the power of the promoters and the brainwashing of young kids to be infactuated with garbage music like lady gaga and kanye west or miley cyress or kerry perry

todays promoters would never allow any artist from the 80s to REVAMP and dominate the radio stations

most of the NEW 2010 music voices today are grossly OVERRATED with no talent.......
