@bonfiresnsandcastles --thanks a lot! I'm hoping to post some more structured videos soon. I've since purchased handmade pickups from Slider's vintage classics and a Mesa blue Angel. The tone is close to Carl Verheyen's.

I don't have a video to post but I can tell you this: the kinman Hank marvins are hotter and so they're warmer and break up quite easily. The G&L stock pups seemed a little brittle when distorted but the kinmans were super smooth. To my ear the kinmans didn't have the tonal complexity that the stock pups had. The stock ones had more of the chimey stratty tone than the kinmans but they weren't nearly as punchy and didn't have as much spank or grit.
