Here is last part of the GIRL TALK (aka Gregg Michael Gillis) set live at Coachella 2009 when he threw down his sick remix of "Since You've Been Gone" and the crowd went insane!!! Pop Culture at it's finest!
I adore his ironic take on music... I loved seing the Coachella crowd get down to Kelly Clarkson... put a sick beat behind it and there are some songs almost EVERYONE can have fun with ;)
His style is what some call "Mash-up". He has been known to use a dozen or more samples from different songs to create something new and different. Between his original style... his stage FULL of shiny cute "Cheerleaders" and a finale where he "Surfed" the crowd in a flashing holographic life raft he gave my favorite performance at Coachella this year!

The younger generation can best appreciate Girl Talk, because your catalogue of popular music is most up to date: you can instantly get a mash of UGK/Outkast (I am pushing 40 so had to look it up) and Steve Winwood...
