@Lakan25 The sad thing is I HAVE been to a number of protests. I personally saw a flag burned at a protest in San Francisco 2 weeks ago. Even more sad is the fact that you can't go to one without seeing some ignorant idiot desecrating the truest symbol of American freedom. I support the core ideals of the protests, but I cant stand seeing this. Just take a look around and might I suggest you get out of your bubble. @PhilipMendozaImages More Americans are disrespecting the US Flag compared to the woman carrying it that day! I don't blame her one bit. This bullshit about "proper way" is nonsense! You should attend one of the occupy movement and you will see what people's feelings of what's going on in the world. Or you can continue to live in your own bubble...

@awakeinca I understand that it has that meaning,dont tell me to educate myself. It is very serious and shouldn't be used as a symbol in protest. Other than to be using it in a true extreme sign of distress is widely known to be extremely disrespectful. It is even coded as disrespect to the flag in Federal Law "(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property." This here is not a "proper way"...

real classy, flying the American flag upside down... Have you no respect for the men and women who lost their lives for your freedom to fly that flag. The protests shouldn't be about degrading America, but the wrecklace bankers who caused the financial collapse... I won't give my support to the protest because of ignorant people like that...
