  • This is a basic, but a fine report on the potential developments in the Iranian region of influence. Both Kaplan and George Friedman hit the nail right on the head when they proclaim that it is in nobody's interest to wage any war with Iran. In fact, that peace is crucial.

    They both highlight that within a decade Tehran might thaw to Washington in relations closer than that of Riyadh. This is a correct estimation as Iran is undergoing a slow, but steady liberalization process.

  • with the president of Iran stating the the non exsistance of the united states is both desirable and achievable ... how do we see Iran as possibly being an ally of the US in the future ... btw , a little behind , Iran already has the capacity for a small nucular bomb , a warhead is in the near future
