Strung Out - Rottin' Apple
Lyrics:
Hey tired man I see you walk
alone. The wrinkles on you face, a map
of all your pain.
Your expression becomes an open book
of time, filled with pages of forgotten
hopes.
Good intentions, regret, disillusion with
Life, animosity, unbridled purity.
All these things I swear I see
and your eyes tell me all you could
never be.
So many times I've stared
into the eyes of the young, the old,
the lonely and the wise.
Just to find a glimpse of all I
have not seen
just to find some peace for my
jaded mind.
Don't wanna live my life
by the second hand of a clock that's
long since past me by
You say I've got to stay in line
we'll your line is going nowhere and
so are you.
Choices decisions made smokin' away
the pain inside,
Sit back and watch it all go by
We could never find the peace
of mind we need,
We hid it all away for another day
Sit back everything's gonna be alright.
Rivers of pain map your agin'
skin your expression a journal
of where you've been.
All your dreams and your chances
lost
You walk along that dotted line
do you remember a time
when you used to dream?
Do you remember a time when
you used to live?
All your dreams and chances they're
all gone.
So you gave it all away unable
to say all you wanna say
Look at you now - turned our to be
face of misery
Look at you now a rottin apple's
all I see.

  • I was raised on this and proud of it

  • I seriously don't know how the fuck these kids played so fast. Even after all these years this shit gets me pumped.

  • @amarsh85 my history is the same!!

  • Aaaaaah, back in the Days.

  • @Clu666 - thats crazy you were there and then to run into ya on a strung out comments page all these years later, when you said about belvedere i new you were there, no one would know that if they werent there cause it was such a small and last minute show w/ no tickets just pay at the door, i dont think there were even flyers for that , so im assuming your from state college ???

  • @kos22us Nice! I was at that show! Belvedere killed it, as did Strung Out. SO is ALWAYS sick though. Wasn't there like 5 or 6 bands total for that show? Miss the days when you could see that many GREAT bands for 15-20 bucks.

  • saw them a couple times, but the best was in state college , pa at a little vfw somebody must have rented it for the night and there were like 15-20 people at most there, this was probably like 1997 or 98 the good ole days when everything was so much easier, i check in w/ these old punk bands i listened to growing up in the mid to late 90's everytime i need a good dose of reality i first heard this song on the survival of the fattest comp. that cd kinda started it all for me

  • I got this cd from my older sisters friend back in 98 he said check em out you'll love it! now i'm 25 and this is still in my top ten favorite albums of all time! Strung out is just amazing

  • still best band for me!! i wanna be their live
