i hope things have changed. i once had a flight from lax to manila with all tvs and headphone jacks not working. it was the worst flight ever, never went PAL again.

the A319 and A320 were bought to replace the aging B737s (now retired) which covered domestic flights. The B777 was bought to help relieve the A330, A340, and even B747-400s which were working overtime to cover regional/international flights. Also the possible expansion to Europe and the U.S. Believe me, PAL's reputation has improved greatly!
