And they are not considered pets in other countries, they are raised as food animals, just like cows and chickens in the US. @cuyhater Why does it matter if a cow is a pet or not? It still a living breathing thing. I am a vegetarian, but I understand and respect other cultures. That is what makes the world fascinating. Do I agree with everything people do? Hell, no. But am I open-minded and interested in different cultures and traditions, yes. Cuy has been part of the Peruvian culture for a very long time.
