  • someone find me a banana flute.

  • I'm confused. These make-shift clarinets sound amazing, but I've never heard a real clarinet actually sound like that. There's something really different about the whole sound...???? It's got a thin, almost oboe-like or sax-like sound, while clarinets are... I dunno, different. Weeeird.

Well, I guess that's what you get for making one out of something weird! lol. (referring to other videos too)

Anyway, awesome, totally talented, and weird!! lol.

  • @TenshiNeko46 the diffrence is: a clarinet is made out of wood. a saxophone is made out of some kind of metal. so is this bicycle seat.

    he sure is talented!!

  • I'm most impressed by the accuracy of the tuning, not to mention the A1 musicianmanship of the player/s.

Certainly sounds V. clarinet but with a slightly different timbre. As there are no keys, not even the few keys on Mozartean clarries, I guess they finger like a recorder or Bochflöte?

The three guys on the Tricyclist trio are A1.

    Great stuff. Thank you.

  • I WANT TO MAKE ONE!

  • Can I have mr. Curly?

  • funny

  • @TenshiNeko46 There is a very good chance that it is the material.

  • @thesmnewstead I am a conductor myself) I also dont know whats the fuzz all about))) If an instrument has that kind of ability - it should be used(where needed).

  • @elrondsch Hmmm, odd that people would ban such beauty. Also, weird that anyone could mistake a clarinet for a sax. As an orchestra director and composer, I have always found that vibrato on clarinet was permissible. What was always odd to me was how Europe and the US banned F horn vibrato! I think everyone should use vibrato....

  • @thesmnewstead Nope) Classical clarinet playing forbids the use of vibrato(for some reason). I play the sax, clarinet and flute... and all my clarinet friends(and teachers) say that my clarinet sounds like a sax because I use vibrato. So modern stuff and jazz allows it and older classical music forbids it(plus there is a difference in the traditions of music itself). I know its possible)))) Not gonna argue about that)

  • @elrondsch Classical clarinet utilises vibrato, just like classical flute and trumpet do, also. In fact, in a standard orchestra, the only instruments that do NOT utilise vibrato are tuba, baritone and sometimes F horn.
