Not necessarily true. Being the youngest of 7 children we didn't have much growing up and so learned to value what we did have. My Dad carved us lots of things and we treated each piece like it was gold. I still have everything he made for me even though I'm grown and married because I hope my own children will learn to love and value it like I did.

a lil kid would look at that 4 all of 2 minutes and then lose it. theyd treat it just like a happy meal toy

Thank you for posting your videos. I've always wanted to try whittling. What knife do you recommend for a beginner? I bought an old timer middleman but I don't think it's quite appropriate for whittling.

I just love listening to you talk about whittling. I've been trying to learn a little myself and I've found your videos helpful. Life is hectic and free time is hard to find but I'm looking forward to trying my hand at your 5 minute bear. Thanks for sharing and God bless you too.

The main reason I dont do 2 inch figures is because they are hard to see while carving them for the camera .. but you can carve the bear any size .
